  4. EE forgot the important detail ...... That the Federal Reserve is just a private Bank, just like an HSBC. It has zero ties to the US Government structure.

  8.  @pillmuncher67  Definitely Wrong policies for us mere peons. Great for Wall St. But the fact that the Fed is above the US Government remains. The US Government used to be opposed to a private central bank.....until 1913.

  9.  @pillmuncher67  Again, not discussing if policies are good/bad. I'm only spotlighting the reality that it is a private bank, that doesn't answer to anyone in the US Government. 99% of US folks live under the belief that the Fed is a branch of the US Government.
