  2. I was a pharmacist in the US 2002-2014, and witnessed first hand the creation of the epidemic. Problem number one, it is profit driven. Pharmaceuticals make money, hospitals make money, doctors get bonuses. There was no federal level tracking system for prescriptions. Each State has their own rules. People could go from State to State to get oxy. Computer systems did not talk to each other, each hospital system had their own IT health program. Prescriptions can be for 30 days, and I saw 2-3 tablets a day prescriptions. Etc etc That’s why I quit in 2014.

  3.  @crouchb15  I drove from Germany to Italy once and I remember having to pay tolls for Switzerland, but not for Italy. Drove to Milan then Savona for a cruise. But this was 10 years ago, so maybe I forgot about the tolls.

  4. I lived in Germany for 4 years and for breakfast I would go to a local bakery and eat different kind of sandwiches that actually had meat. The bread in Germany is the best in the world, so it was impossible for me not to eat bread and butter-filled pretzels

  7. We moved to the US from Germany 6 years ago. Today I asked my kids if they remembered the smells of the Christmas Markets......my 3 daughters started crying.......wow..... i didn't know that they missed it so much. Their ages today are 14,14,10.

  11. I lived in Germany for 4 years, and already knew how to pronounce these because of also knowing Spanish and Tagalog. Languages that are phonetic, are consistent with the pronunciation of words. English is not phonetic, which is why we have 5 different pronunciations for a word in our own country.

  12. Gas stoves are horrible. For 15 years I always wanted one thanks to HGTV. Then I finally got one when I bought a new build house, and I was very disappointed with how inconsistent it is. Will never buy a gas stove ever again.

  13. Other countries pronounce foreign words as close as possible as the language of origin. USA just makes up whatever it thinks the word should sound like, then blame the country of origin for saying it wrong. Lol
