It’s funny that I am actually in the market for a puffy jacket to replace the $500 North Face one I bought in 2010. $500 for 13 years is a steal, and the jacket still looks new and current. I just want to buy a new one. I do have several other less puffy ones, I’m just replacing the super puffy.

@pandaangry1267 I live in West Tokyo. Moved here in the summer and cost of living is half of what it cost me in Florida. Tokyo is super cheap. But yes, fashion prices are the same as anywhere else. Already checked a store and they are selling for $1100 for the one I liked.

@pandaangry1267 That seems too pricy. lol. I’ll see if I can find a store to look at them somewhere in Tokyo. It better wow me before I drop $1k. Although $1k in 2024 is probably less than the $500 I spent in 2010. Im already tricking my mind into it 😂

@pandaangry1267 Definitely not Shinjuku, but I’m only 30 minutes away and go there a lot. And in the context you can see that I’m looking for something that will last me 10+ years, so basically less than $100 a year. That is not bad at all. I’m retired and living around the world now. Was in Fort Walton Beach, but that area of Florida is backwards. So I moved to Japan. I also thought my entire life that Japan was expensive, but surprisingly cost of living is 50% cheaper than Florida. I moved from Solano County CA to Florida to save money, but nothing changed, lol. The Florida Panhandle was as expensive as California 😂
