  1. I was born in Manhattan. NYC convenience is unparalleled. Moved out in 2002......definitely can't afford to return, even if I wanted to go back.

  4. NYC is basically its own Country. Very unique from NY State, and definitely different from the US. It would fit perfectly anywhere in Europe .

  7.  @Not_Sal  Agree. Republican/Democrat labels do not apply in NYC. NYC is a World city, and not a typical American city found everywhere else.

  8. Lol I'm from Manhattan, and lived in WY 6 years. Extreme busy to extreme isolation. Both bad for your mental health. In NYC it was easy to cope with. In WY is not, since there are no coping mechanisms. Severe depression is not fun.

  11.  @raandamu  Europe...as in society, people,, and culture. NYC is more aligned with European life than American life. I was born in Manhattan.....have lived in Europe, and also in S.Korea and Philippines.

  12.  @raandamu  Agree. Remember that the Dutch founded NYC. And yes....I have been lucky to have lived in several countries. Also lived in Canada and the Caribbean . In the US I have lived in NY, TX, SC, WY, CA.
