I retired at 40....waiting on my Wife who will be 40 when she retires in 2 years......But definitely will not stay in the USA. Spain. Puerto Rico, or Philippines will be our destiny.

@FarmerTed We have narrowed down our choices to Malaga Spain, Tagaytay Philippines, or Southwest Puerto Rico. We have Puerto Rico as a 3rd option only because it's a USA Colony, so we would still be in the USA.

@stefanurquelle7736 Agree...although rent can be super cheap in PR.....cost of living gets you. That 11.5% sales tax is ridiculous. I like Cebu....but I'm more familiar with Luzon. Not sure about the difference in language between Cebu and Batangas. My wife and I both speak English Spanish and Tagalog

@FarmerTed Lol...yes...future health needs need to be considered. No problems with Europe. PR is ok...plus there is a VA hospital near San Juan. And Manila has a VA hospital.

@elviscobb5922 Every place has some natural cause risk. Im currently in Wyoming. We have tornadoes, mega giant hail, constant 60mph winds, 9 months of winter, mild earthquakes, oh....and the super volcano Yellowstone. Lol
