I live next door, Wyoming. SD is nice...but the cold weather is brutal. Just as brutal as Wyoming. WY home prices are super high because of the isolation. There is no market competition. For example, I live in Cheyenne .....if I wanted to buy a house not in Cheyenne....my closest town is 30 minutes away, in Colorado. My closest town in WY is 45 minutes away. There are no towns, villages, houses, between those points mentioned. So the houses are priced high.....and people have to buy them at whatever is listed.

@omarfigueroa1691 We get snow from Sept to May in Cheyenne. Right now it is 23 degrees, feels like 10 degrees because of the wind. We got our 1st snow in Sept 8 and 9.. Currently grounds are covered in snow.

Wanda Tolbert What towns are nice in SD? I've only been to the Rapid City and surrounding areas. I don't see anything other than Sioux Falls on the map as a liveable place. SD definitely better than WY.
