I'm in Wyoming, but I do everything in Colorado. I retired in WY because it always makes the top 10 lists.......but it is completely a dead place. I have to go to Colorado for groceries, shopping, entertainment, restaurants, airport, etc etc.

@zackbrand9311 Well.....where the nature is in Wyoming.....is mostly uninhabited, and very far. So you can't live in those areas. 90% of WY is flat high plains of nothingness. I do go to the Rocky Mountains in CO a lot for hiking and skiing. Closer to me than anything in WY. I moved to WY for their tax advantages.....but after 6 years I did the math....and it would be cheaper to live in CO and pay higher taxes. So I will be moving out in December. Will return to WY when I'm like 95 years old. That's the perfect age for living in WY. And politics thankfully have no weight on where I live. I have lived happily in the most conservative places in the country, and also in the most liberal. Also lived in Europe, Canada, Caribbean, Korea, Philippines.

I live in Wyoming, but I spend all my money in Colorado. Its truly a wonderful state. Moving to the Bay area in California in December. 1st time living on the West Coast.

@orthobro3811 I live in the state capital Cheyenne, which is at the WY/CO border. Closest town to Cheyenne on any direction is 25 minutes away in CO, but its residential. Closest after that is 45 minutes also in CO. Closest town within WY is 50 minutes, but its smaller than Cheyenne, so no point in going there. When I say 25, 45, 50 minutes.......that's driving time.....with nothing else between the 2 points.....only grass.
