@ Tariffs only change the cost of the products people buy. If the products don’t sell due to increased prices, then it could affect jobs in the factories where they are made. Key point to know is that all this hurts the people, not the politicians.

@mkscourger9593 No. Any cost accountant can tell you that every cost of producing a good goes into overhead costs. Then profit margins are added, and finally the consumer pays the total price.

@mkscourger9593 I’m only referring to Cost Accounting (manufacturing). Tariffs go straight to overhead costs. At the end the consumer pays the price. Not the company or the government.
