Remember when the US hijacked a sovereign country Presidential plane, with the help of EU countries? 2013, Evo Morales. Higher crime than this highjacking, and nobody got sanctions.

@ancalyme It ran out of fuel exactly because the US asked those countries to deny landing. And US knew Snowden was not on the plane all along. We ended up doing a coup on Evo anyway.

@ancalyme The US admitted to have been in contact with EU countries. Jen Psaki gave the politically correct response of the admission. Made them deny landing, forcing the plane to have to land in Austria. US lied to these EU countries about Snowden being onboard. The US was after Evo, not Snowden.

@ancalyme Both actions are completely wrong and horrendous. None of my comments here have defended Belarus whatsoever. People always fail to realize that bad/bad is also an option. Tribalism traps people into only considering good/bad as the only possible choice. I'm only spotlighting the fact that the US and the EU have done the same or worse, yet ignore that detail when reacting to this event. The hypocrisy .

@ancalyme Definitely not whataboutism. I stated that both actions are deplorable. In any case, the media here is the one defending 1 over the other. I'm condeming both.
