  1.  @mountainstream8351  It was obvious even back then that nothing was going to change. So we were there for no reason at all, other than making money for the Government contractors. It was never about human rights, women, little girls, Taliban, or Al Qaeda. If these were real motives, then Saudi Arabia would've been the country invaded and bombed; not Afghanistan.

  2. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 and 2008 (US Air Force). Both times I knew that the mission was entirely pointless.

  3.  @mountainstream8351  The peace deal with the Taliban was made by Trump and Pompeo, and signed in February 2020. The Taliban leader that is going to become President was released from prison by Trump in 2018, as part of the peace talks. As you can see, the Afghan government was never at negotiations, because it was a puppet President. Trump knew it would fail once we left, so he made the deal with the real political force in the country. Biden, to the surprise of the entire Military Industrial Complex, honored the Trump deal, and got out.
