  1. Wife and I were both military with 3 kids. Were not living paycheck to paycheck, but also not saving as much as we wanted. We lived in several states and overseas...all the same high childcare expenses. I got out of the military and now we have more savings.

  2. My Spouse and I were both military and were paying $1600 a month for childcare/before & after school care , 3 kids. I decided to leave the military and stay home....and now we have more savings than when we were both Military. Unreal!

  3.  @julieackerson3111  We just did the math. It was that simple. It sucks sometimes because having an MBA and not working makes you feel like a loser.....but then you see the bank account growing and it makes it ok...lol

  4.  @dominiquethomas3775  Agree. For us...we save more now than when we were both working. And I was making about $52k a year before I left the workforce.
