@BlownMacTruck Still late. That just made up terms. I'm from a place where coffee culture has always existed....no waves.....and a place that produces 1 of only 3 super premium coffees in the world.

@BlownMacTruck I do know what the 3rd wave is. I'm just stating that in places where great coffee is an everyday thing...i.e. Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Caribbean, Italy, etc... The waves go unnoticed.

@BlownMacTruck The 3 highest quality beans on the planet are grown in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. Nowhere else. The rest fall a category under those 3. Those 3 are super premium coffees. Then the premium and lower categories begin.

@BlownMacTruck My grandmother grew coffee...and throughout the years I have visited many coffee Haciendas, and met with several Q graders in Puerto Rico and Honduras. Again....the source places coffee culture does not live in the US coffee waves....they have always had excellent coffee. When Folgers and Maxwell House disappear from supermarket aisles, then the US can say they have moved forward...lol

@BlownMacTruck I mentioned Italy as an example for a place that doesn't go through waves. They have enjoyed their burnt beans for ages.

@BlownMacTruck Really? Caribbean not a thing? So Blue Mountain is not a thing? Alto Grande not a thing? Cuban coffee? Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico...all in the same region.

@BlownMacTruck Living in the coffee world since birth doesn't qualify a person to talk about coffee. Ok. You win...lol

@BlownMacTruck Is coffee review.com a reliable source? Because I just read they rated a bean from Hawaii as #1. Oh well....maybe fake news.
