  4. Being from Manhattan, we are raised to hate the West Coast. Then at 45 I got to move to Vacaville CA for 2 years, and it was really a great experience. CA is worth the money they take from you.

  10. I didn't realize that people carry stuff around in the trunk. My vehicles never have anything in them other than an emergency kit. Everything else is taken out every time I come home.

  15. On my move from Vacaville California to Destin Florida back in Jan 2022, the entire drive was gorgeous, until I hit Beaumont. Stopped there for gas, and the rest of the trip was the most depressing scenery I’ve seen in my life. Once I hit Pensacola and went over the bridge to road 98, things got pretty again.

  18. I've been planning on moving to the Panhandle for years...... But I have noticed that hurricane routes have changed in the last 10 years... From the usual Atlantic Coast path, to now all going into the Gulf area.
