The bank said I'd have to sit for an interview and fill out forms detailing what I wanted the money for, and then wait ten days (this waiting period caused me to lose my contract on the house). I asked why I had to explain to them what I was going to do with MY money that I worked for and saved over many years. "Federal banking regulations". Turns out these new regulations were the first think that President Biden passed when he took office. Literally on his first day in office.
