It's a huge mistake to join an alliance that should've been disbanded after the fall of the Soviet Union, but it's your country. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Let's recap: NATO expands after the fall of the Soviet Union, moving closer and closer to encircling Russia, which has a legitimate historical fear of being encircled. NATO does this despite vowing to the Russians it wouldn't, and despite warnings from foreign policy experts (including Henry Kissinger), who say the expansion is a colossal mistake. NATO declares its intention to take Ukraine and Georgia into its ranks when all it has to do is declare those two countries neutral to placate the Russians. Russia is provoked into invading Ukraine as a last-ditch effort to secure its borders and to prevent further encirclement. NATO responds by further expanding NATO. The Finns and Swedes have helped push us further towards World War Three. Except this time Sweden won't be able to sit this one out, as they did World War Two. This time, the Swedes will have to bleed with the rest of us.

You won't be able to sit out World War Three like you did World War Two if you're in NATO. Ready to have Stockholm bombed? But I won't waste time trying to talk fools out of something they've already decided on.
