  1. Zelensky is showing confidence because the US pledged ground troops in October. It's an "October Surprise" that Kamala Harris will use to win the 2024 election. Of course, that means that the US and Russia--all of NATO and Russia--will be at full-throated war. Not that war between nuclear superpowers over a country that has no strategic interest is dangerous or anything.
