  1. I don't idolize Sanders BUT his popularity shows that progressives CAN win. Sanders says he's a Socialist. He says the S word and people WANT to vote for him.

  2. Good analysis, Crystal. I agree with all of it. Sanders may not run for President again but he is nevertheless a transformative politician.

  3. It's more complicated than just getting Sanders or someone like him elected as President. As Obama's presidency has shown, you can't govern with the Republicans running Congress. Fielding enough candidates to win congressional majorities is a huge and complicated task.

  4. Doesn't matter: it's Macron v. LePen and I will bet everything I have Macron will win, and win big. Not only that, but LePen only has 2 MPs out of 577. Even if she became President, she couldn't govern without huge compromises.
