  1. The decline of the dollar as the international reserve currency does not necessarily result in Americans becoming poorer. Name some countries that don't have their currency as the international reserve: Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France--you get the idea. They're all prosperous and provide a good life for their people. The American ruling elite want to act like it's 1948 forever. And we, the people, let them do that. It's time to demand better. Nationalized health care. Cut military spending. Raise taxes on the rich. Invest in our own infrastructure again. Raise the interest rate and keep it high enough to encourage saving instead of consumption. Energy independence. Repatriate our manufacturing base. Our elite won't do this unless we force them to. If we don't, then the failure of America is our fault. Nothing is inevitable.
