  1. If Edward hadn't abdicated, the UK would be a republic now, not a constitutional monarchy. That's how poisonous that traitor was. Honestly, the UK would be better off without the monarchy--it was only Elizabeth who kept the institution going. Now that she's in the grave, it won't survive much longer. Charles is dying on his feet and William doesn't want it.
