In the books, Ciri is trained by the Witchers and becomes as good a fighter as anyone can be who doesn't undergo the chemical-fueled mutation that enables Witchers to be stronger and faster than humans, to see in the dark, etc. So Ciri is not truly a Witcher, although she does possess elemental magical powers that come from her elven heritage. (Ciri is also horribly disfigured in a fight, carrying a deep scar on one side of her face.). In the books and in the Netflix series (I'm not a gamer), Ciri was by far the least interesting character. I read and watched for Geralt. Once the Netflix series shifted away from focusing on Geralt, I stopped watching.
