I once had a female assistant who was very bad at her job. I started coaching her with the implicit understanding that if she didn't improve her performance, she was going to be fired. Rather than try to improve, she tried threatening me: "If I go to the principal and tell him you're sexually harassing me, you're finished." And she was right. If she'd made the allegation, absent any proof, my job and my career would've been over. I didn't back off because I do not negotiate with terrorists. When I didn't respond to her threat, she continued to suck at her job, and eventually resigned rather than be fired. I don't recommend my course of action to any man, because I took a terrible risk that just happened to pay off. But that's where we are: women can destroy men with lies (Amber Heard destroyed Johnny Depp's career that way) and even if we prove the women are lying, we still lose.

Sad but not surprising. The public example of this is Johnny Depp. He was exonerated in court but his career is ruined. Amber Heard? Living in Spain with the support of a sugar daddy.

@ChrisPTY507 Yeah, but if I'd let her get away with that, she would've been running things, not me. I'd rather not have a career like that.

Legal trouble = five years in prison. Nothing less will deter them.

You forgot the low orbit surveillance satellite that would track the date in real time and archive it in a supercomputer buried deep in the Rocky Mountains.

@jackfroste Yeah and that's not a highly unusual, extreme example or anything.
