My first reaction to hearing Kevin Samuels interact with delusional women was that he was too harsh. Over time, I realized that the women Samuels was dealing with were so deep in denial that they needed him to be that way to snap them out of it--and even then, it often didn't work. (Cue Jack Nicholson yelling "You can't handle the truth!") People forget that Samuels was also very hard on broke men who expected the world to treat them like kings--but you don't hear about that because men took their talking to and didn't throw an adult tantrum. Samuels didn't suffer fools of either gender gladly, and that's what I respected about him. When you're used to being lied to, the truth will anger you the first time you hear it, especially because lies allow you to continue just as you are, while the truth demands that you change. Samuels was three years younger than me and apparently fit, yet he died of a heart attack. A reminder to us all to live your life now because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

One of his most memorable calls was when Samuels patiently pointed out one such woman's delusions to her, and she broke, yelling at him I'M A BAD ASS B***H! I'M A BAD ASS B***H! again and again at the top of her voice in a very masculine and aggressive manner, which he'd just pointed out was a large part of her problem. He just hung up on her. But he did try.

All true, but Samuels also gave delusional men a talking to, as well. People don't remember that because the men didn't throw adult tantrums when Samuels hit them with a truth grenade.

They're just proving that Samuels was right: most of them would rather hear lies that do them no good than a truth that would set them free.

@manifest2203 Copying and pasting the same comment a dozen times doesn't make it true. KS held women and men accountable for their foolishness, but it was mostly men who listened while women talked over him.

@manifest2203 You copied and pasted that remark in a dozen places so far. Sounds to me like you want women to escape all accountability. Which entirely misses the point of KS and his message🙄🙄🙄

@manifest2203 Accountability is Kryptonite to women 😅😅😅

@starfiremonkey7839 I never noticed it, but KS slammed down the Red Bulls way beyond the limit. My older sister is a nurse and she says you shouldn't drink more than 2-3 Red Bulls a week. Kevin drank 2-3 an HOUR.

@starfiremonkey7839 You can slip into bad habits without realizing it. At one point, I drank ten cups of coffee a day until someone pointed it out, then I cut back to one and, most days, none. It's easy to slide into something like that if no one's around to check you.

@manifest2203 Are you still here, dear? Samuels was right: most women really are poor decision makers.

@starfiremonkey7839 It was easy for me. I just stopped. I had headaches and felt like I had the flu as I went through withdrawal. What disturbs me is that when I was a teacher, I'd see teens trundling around huge Starbucks cups of caffeine and sugar. When I was their age, coffee was an adult beverage that you drank because you're old and needed help waking up. I didn't start drinking coffee until my late 20s. Btw latest reports are Mr. Samuels was with a 32 year old woman when he died, so he may have been killed with sex and not Red Bull.
