  1. What we need are higher wages and a 30 hour work week. That will create a lot of new jobs and a dramatically higher standard of living. Productivity has gone up so much that it now takes 2 hours to accomplish what it took 40 hours to do in 1937, yet workers haven't been rewarded with shorter hours nor higher pay for their greater productivity. It's time for we, the people, to collect our due. Workers create wealth and we ought to have our fair share of it.
