I've been a teacher for thirty years. Keep your kids off social media. Period. It's horrible for their mental health.

I was a teacher for thirty years and yes, I could tell when students were lying, but that's because young kids and teenagers tend to have more "tells" than adults. Practice makes a good liar and a lot of young people just don't have the experience to do it right. If someone has no sense of shame and is a practiced liar, they're going to be very convincing. And then they'll run for public office.

My wife wasted her entire life from age 19 to 85 trying to please my narcissistic father. He checked all ten of these boxes. It's sad to see how a narcissist can destroy another person.

Dr. Grande hit on the crucial problem with Joe Rogan: Rogan's contempt for his own audience. "How stupid are YOU to listen to ME?" Rogan is sneering at the people whose attention makes him rich. I absolutely agree with Dr. Grande that censorship isn't the answer: fact-checking Rogan is the answer. Yes, there are such things as objective facts, Virginia. If you don't care that facts exist, I don't have anything further to say to you.

Alec's wife was from Spain until she wasn't. The Baldwins tell a lot of stories about themselves. Who knows if they're true.

I want experts fact-checking Rogan on issues of public health. Surely Rogan and his fans don't object to having leading experts in the fields of epidemiology, virology, and public health comment on the content Rogan presents on these topics. If you do, then you're willfully ignorant.

Reminds me of the old joke: A 6'5" man pushes down a smaller man. The man gets up, walks over to someone even smaller and weaker than him, and pushes HIM down. A bystander asks, "Why didn't you attack the guy who pushed you down? That other guy didn't do anything!" The man points to the 6'5" fellow and says "Are you crazy? Look at the size of him!"

Most entertainers and many politicians are narcissists. Which explains a lot.

When you're that handsome, naturally you think highly of yourself.
7
Other people's feelings and needs literally don't exist to narcissists. We're all objects to them.

Cop bootlickers are disgusting.

Live rounds have no place on a movie set. Who the hell loaded that gun?

AVA: Don't worry, Dad, he's hundreds of miles away. DAD: Phew! It's not like people can fly on airplanes!

Ted Bundy would've done very well in the law or in politics.

Love how we, the unarmed public, are tasked with the job of de-escalating encounters with cops so the cops don't beat us or kill us. Seems a bit backwards to me: shouldn't the armed, professional law enforcement officers be the ones burdened with de-escalation?

Sociopathic personalities used to be comparatively rare, but they're now quite common people under the age of 35. It's not their fault: it was the way they were raised, where there were no consequences for bad behavior growing up--in fact, parents who raised that generation support antisocial behavior by their kids. I was a teacher for thirty years and saw this shift from one generation to the next. These young people will be running our society some day. God help us.

Laughing very hard at the worshipful comments of Tolle's cult followers in the comments. Well, Dr Grande tried. "You don't have a life, you ARE life."😅😅😅

8:55 So Claudia's mother sends out a topless photo of Claudia (a minor child), which is child pornography, and it's CLAUDIA'S FAULT for taking the photo? Unsubscribed.

Everyone who knew John Candy said three things about him: 1. John always felt inadequate; 2. John wanted to make other people happy; 3. John was always sweet and kind to everyone around him.
2
Willfully ignorant. They're rich, so they think they know everything about everything, when a more humble and self-aware person would've said "Let's bring in some outside experts to evaluate this technology."

TRUMP (watching this video): Dr. Grande made the best video. About me.
2
"Oprah fell hard for this charlatan." That describes Dr. Oz, too.

There are badly behaved people everywhere, but far fewer in societies where empathy and social cohesion instead of individual rights are stressed (think Asian and Scandinavian societies).

EVERYONE: There will be consequences for this! RON HOWARD VOICEOVER: In fact, Amy escaped all consequences for her actions.

On a positive note, Andrew is now cured of his inability to sweat.

@kristinfrostlazerbeams So you're seizing the opportunity of this tragedy to make a long-winded speech (which I didn't finish reading because it read like Rush Limbaugh having a Tourette's outburst) pushing your political beliefs? You should print out your comment and send it to the victim's family. I'm sure it'll bring them great comfort.

Here's what I don't get: WHY WOULD YOU EVER LOAD A PROP GUN WITH LIVE ROUNDS? Use blanks. Who the hell puts live rounds in a prop gun?

White women's tears are more precious than unicorn horns.

The reason I don't feel sorry for the three women in this case is stated by Dr Grande at the end of the video (14:40): "Simon knew how to exploit shallow romantic partner selection criteria." He couldn't have possibly manipulated women who weren't golddiggers.

Tony Robbins is very tall and talks fast and loud in a confident voice. That's all you need in the United States of America. We're a nation of game show hosts and used car salesmen.

Trump's narcissism is sometimes useful. Example: Many experts told Trump that Operation Warp Speed couldn't possibly produce a useful COVID-19 vaccine in less than 3-5 years. Trump dismissed these objections and said it could be done in less than a year. And he was right. But mostly, narcissism is a destructive trait because narcissists don't listen to people, even when they should. It's the old "even a broken clock tells the right time twice a day" analogy.

I've been a school librarian for decades. I could always tell when Oprah promoted a book or author on her show because I'd get swamped with requests for it the next day. Why people listen to Oprah when she's been wrong so many times pretty much explains why the US is the way it is.

@windscriesmary Joe Biden did very poorly in law school.

Because it works.

Maybe Casey Anthony is helping OJ look for the real killers of his ex-wife or will find out who killed Jon-Benet Ramsay.

I love your daughter Ariana's music.

Did we have the same father?

Dr. Phil had one of my students on the program as a "spoiled brat". He claims he taught her not to be spoiled by making her get a job. Update: She's still a spoiled brat, and her appearance on Dr. Phil's show was just to get more followers for her Youtube and Instagram accounts. She played him like a $5 fiddle.

I had a similar experience with an out of control Kansas state trooper in the 1980s. He almost caused a serious accident by cutting off my car, forcing me over to the side of the road, and then dragged me out of the car and threatened to beat me up. When confronted in court, the trooper said he had no memory of the incident and his partner said he was looking in another direction the entire time and witnessed nothing of the encounter (yes, they lied under oath). My offense? I flashed my headlights at a motorist traveling in the opposite direction to let him know that he had his high beams on. This triggered the state trooper for some reason. We didn't have dash cams etc back then, of course. But I have one in my car now and it stays ON. It's the only way we can protect ourselves from cops like this. I've lost all trust in the police because of that incident. It seems many of them are angry and on a hair trigger, a dangerous combination given that they have near-absolute authority (and loaded guns) in our society.

When I was a teenager, a store manager accused me of shoplifting and roughed me up in public (of course I didn't shoplift). If I'd called the cops, they wouldn't have done a thing. I'm glad times have changed and young people now have some rights. Ponsetto had no right to lay hands on that young man.
