  1. I haven't been to the UK in 20 years. I'm 5'10", an inch above average height for a North American man. First visit, 1983: Every UK copper was my height or taller. Second visit, 1991: A third of the UK cops were shorter than me. Third visit, 1998: Half of the UK cops were shorter than me. Last visit, 2003: 2 out of three UK cops were shorter than me. In the meantime, 80% of the US cops I meet are my height or taller. You can't control mobs with wee police officers. I suppose you do save money on riot shields, since you only need the small-sized ones.

  3. White Boomer who benefited from the biggest expansion of the goverment safety net (education, healthcare, infrastructure) wants to get rid of the "nanny state". But keep his Medicare benefits, I'm sure. It's the hypocrisy and total lack of self-awareness of these people that I can't abide.
