  1. I wrote a SF short story in which an entire war is waged, and won, by entothoptric (flying insect-like) robots. I got the idea from the opening scene of "The Wild Bunch", when a thousand ants swarmed and killed a single scorpion. There are peacetime uses for microbots, of course. If we humans wipe out the bees, we may need our microbots for pollination duty.
