  1. Many of us have been saying this for over a YEAR. One more time: the Fed terminal rate needs to be AT LEAST TWO POINTS HIGHER THAN INFLATION IN ORDER TO CRUSH INFLATION. It needs to be 8.5% AT LEAST. If the Fed doesn't move fast, inflation is going to jump back up into the double digits and we'll have it with us for the rest of this decade. The effects on ordinary people's lives will be ruinous.
