  1. Cullors and her associates are frauds, but local Black Lives Matter activists truly believe in their cause and work to improve their communities. Cullors was supposed to have given the $90 million in donations to those local activists to help them fund their activities, and instead just kept it for herself and her family. It's unforgivable not just because of the betrayal of the black folks Cullors claims to care about, but because her fraud will make it so much more difficult for real activists and social reformers to get attention and money.
