  1. Santa Monica is in the Los Angeles area. Silicon Valley is in Northern California, about 400 miles to the north. But the Americanization of Europe's ruling class isn't confined to the UK: it exists in Germany, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, etc. All of those One Percenters have mansions in the US and our One Percenters have homes in Europe. They are an internationalist ruling elite with allegiance to their own money, not to the peoples of the nations they rule.
