  1. I had a history professor who is tenured at Stanford adamantly maintain that Alexander the Great was black. He had some convoluted explanation about Alexander's alleged African ancestry, which would be disproven by a current DNA sampling of Macedonians. Didn't know there were black people in Macedonia in the day. But there's a history professor at Stanford University--which is considered one of the better universities in the US--who insists on no real evidence that Alexander the Great of Macedon was a black man.
