  1. Mayor Adams plea sounds like a mea culpa, but it's not: he's angling to get more federal funds to provide healthcare, food, clothing, and housing for the illegals. Adams wants the illegals in New York City; he just wants someone else to pay for them. Men such as this are incapable of epiphanies, personal or political, because they lack the humility required for true self-examination. To use an American colloquialism: we are screwed. British translation: we are buggered.
