When computer animation technology advances a bit more, it'll be cheap for filmmakers to create avatars indistinguishable from human beings and create an entire film using their computer; AI will even supply different voices and assist with lighting, camera angles, etc. A film that today costs $100 million will cost $10,000. Distribution will be direct to a streaming platform and "break even" will be counted in six figures, not nine or ten. And on that day, Hollywood is dead.
