This is why I lived in Beverly Hills when I lived in the LA area: I paid a higher rent for a smaller apartment, but BHPD will respond very quickly when you call, and they are very well-trained. I had to call BHPD twice when I lived there: in both cases, the police response time was under five minutes. And no, most people living in Beverly Hills aren't rich--most are renters down in "the flats", not living in the mansions nestled up in the hills. I was a teacher, not a rich guy.
