I was a university professor (now retired). My university was 100% against discrimination based on race, gender, and sexual orientation, unless you're white, male, and heterosexual, in which case you're evil personified. The dean actually said in a faculty meeting that "we need to stop promoting white people" (the dean was black), and later walked it back and claimed she said "we need to stop ONLY promoting white people", which was slightly less illegal.
