  1. Pete Buttigieg is another diversity hire and is incompetent. By all accounts, Buttigieg rarely engages with his duties as Transportation Secretary and considers it beneath him, just a stepping stone on his path to the presidency. Think about that: this man, who has never held statewide elected office anywhere, feels entitled to the presidency of the United States, as if it was a debt owed to him. The arrogance makes my teeth hurt.

  2. Good idea. My rule is if the trip is under 500 miles, I always drive. The exception to this is trips back home, which is 750 miles and a bit of a stretch. The last two times I flew (in first class), I was shocked at how bad the airlines have become. First class means nothing, business class means nothing, the airlines treat their passengers like crap, and then are mystified as to why there's a sharp rise in "air rage" incidents.

  3. Rich folks don't have to worry about this. LAX just built a new terminal, at public expense, exclusively for the rich and their private jets. The people running this country live in a bubble and NONE of our problems--a fouled-up transport system, high inflation, housing shortage, rent increases, food shortages, crime--affect them. They're insulated from it all. You know, kind of like the French aristocracy just before their Revolution. How did that work out, again?
