  1. Things are so bad, rich white folks are getting killed. I used to live in Oakland and worked in San Francisco. BART (the subway) was so crime-ridden that in the last two years there, 2013-2015, I took the ferry even though it added 45 minutes to my commute. Escalators in BART often don't work because the homeless clog them up by defecating in them and elevators, which are essential for the handicapped, literally have an inch of human urine in them. I lost count of how many times I saw mentally unbalanced homeless guys chase or attack women, children, and the elderly--one of them even tried it with me, but I was too big and strong for him. SFPD patrol cruiser with two cops in it sat on the corner and watched the homeless man attack me without provocation. And did nothing. No, I don't want to hear excuses for the BARt cops nor the Oakland or San Francisco PD--they're all of them absolutely useless.
