Lack of impulse control. I've felt like doing some of the stuff in this video when I got angry (when I was much younger), but I didn't do it, because I checked myself. Folks aren't taught impulse control as kids. It can be learned. It's not inevitable that black people (or any people) get triggered and lose control.

Some cops can be real jerks. I've encountered them. But I knew that if I lost my temper, I'd play right into their hands. What I don't understand is black folks saying they're terrified of the police but then jump at the first chance to fight the cops. It doesn't make sense.

Remember when Obama commented on the Trayvon Martin shooting and other such incidents? He made things worse and didn't seem to care.

@queenisrael8158 Because that only happens about half a dozen times a year in the entire country. It's very rare for police to kill innocent unarmed people of any race.

@rotaryperfection Can. you cite one case where someone screamed at a cop at a traffic stop and it had a good outcome?

@factmanamerican882 This. If the driver had stayed calm while his wife filmed, and the cop was in the wrong, ka-ching! Payday from the taxpayers. Ain't no way in hell I'd get in a fight with a cop but especially not with my lady and my KIDS in the car.

@rotaryperfection You're the kind of person who encourages people to act recklessly in their interactions with the police. Bet you tell them to call their supervisor. Or call 911 the way the driver did...calling 911 on the police, that's genius.

@rotaryperfection There you go. Reacting the way he does is going to get him hurt or even killed. I've seen people stand up to cops but they stayed calm. That man and his wife were out of control. You're a damned fool.

It's a bullying tactic. Shout at the top of your lungs, repeating the same phrase over and over, until the other person gives in. They will keep doing it for hours if they have to and never get tired of it. If you're on the receiving end, shut it down by giving a simple directive: Do X or I will do X (call the cops, etc). And then immediately do it. There's zero chance of having a rational conversation at that point, so say what you're going to do it and then do it.
