  1. I've had some bad AirBnB experiences but mostly good ones. It's still your best option for a long-term stay, but for anything less than a week, I always book a hotel. I really should boycott them since I think they're destructive to neighborhoods (and I used to live next door to a "party" AirBnB in Beverly Hills that was operating outside city regulations). I wouldn't shed a tear if the entire concept was banned nationwide; we lived without them before and we can live without them again.
