  1. A lot of financial analysts are now saying that homeowners are raiding their retirement accounts and other savings to pay their mortgages and other bills. People are maxing out credit cards at 26% apr and we all know that's a very bad "money management" technique. People got addicted to free money and the government throwing cash at them, and now it's all going away.

  3. Quid pro quo. Can an American own land in your country? No? Then your citizens can't own land in ours. According to the Chinese Property Law, foreigners cannot buy land in China. So the Chinese shouldn't be allowed to buy real estate here.
