  1. Most black people are. The most racist things against Asians I ever heard in my life have come from black people. A black colleague of mine said "oh I know YOU PEOPLE (meaning us whites) LOVE the little yellow people SO much! Why can't we be like the Asians? BECAUSE THEY WERE NEVER SLAVES!" So it's basically that black folks feel like the "good minority" are held up as an example of how they could succeed if they really wanted to. I still don't get how the "we were slaves" excuse flies when no one has been enslaved since 1865.

  2. Both blacks and Asians are discriminated against, the difference is that black folks have become bitter and disempowered because of it, while Asians have not. It's not a difference of circumstances but of attitude towards the situation. Just count yourself lucky there's no "leaders" for the "Asian community", because the "leaders" of the "black community" have told them they can't achieve without special help from white folks. Waiting On Whitey is a self-defeating mindset.
