  1. I retired from teaching last year after a thirty year career in California. When we started remote school, the administration told us it was for a few weeks. It went on for almost two years! I hated it because I lost touch with my colleagues and with my students, but our union listened to the MINORITY of teachers who wanted to teach from home, even though the MAJORITY of us made it clear we wanted to teach in person.
