I lived in LA for thirty years. Still in contact with friends and former colleagues there. All but one are either saying that nothing different could've been done about the wildfires, or that it's Trump's fault for spreading "misinformation" and "not supporting Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom." In other words, the people they voted for are not to blame and the man who's been president for six days is somehow responsible. There will be no accountability and therefore no change. You think this disaster is bad? There will be a worse one than this, guaranteed.
