  1. I wasn't career, only four years active duty USAF, but my service was a positive influence on my life. I wouldn't join now and don't recommend any young people do so, either.

  2. There are other ways to serve your country besides the military, but as a vet who comes from a family that have served in every war since the Revolution, you're better off. You really want to risk your neck so Hunter Biden can buy some more crack with Chinese bribes? I know you're disappointed but you gave it your best shot.

  3. I was active duty USAF 1980-84, dad was a US Army Korean War vet, nephew is active duty in the US Navy. Best friend is a retired Marine. And so on and so forth. We're all from Kansas. White guys from "red states" have formed the core of the US military for as far back as anyone can remember. We're now told that we, white men, are born evil and that we are not wanted. Well, we're listening, and this recruitment dip is not an anomaly, it's the new normal. For the first time since the American Revolution, none of the young men in our family are even considering joining up with a branch of the US military. An unbroken line of 250 years of military service has at last come to an end. Good luck defending the empire without us "evil" white men.
