  1. I was a teacher for thirty years. I can say two things with confidence: 1. I would not trust my colleagues with guns. I would be especially concerned about students or an adult mass shooter overpowering them and taking away their guns, or killing students or other teachers with "friendly fire". 2. I'm retired, but I'd hand in my resignation letter the second any school where I taught permitted the staff to be armed. There were nineteen heavily armed, trained police officers standing outside that elementary school in Uvalde. "Good guys with guns". How'd that work out?
