  1. We have a slightly different system in Kansas: if you shoplift, store employees detain you until the cops arrive. Then you get charged with either misdemeanor or felony theft, convicted, then go to county jail, sometimes state prison if you tried to steal a high dollar amount. You also get a lifetime ban from the store where you committed your crime, and your mugshot is published in the local paper. But we don't have too much theft, because something seems to be deterring criminals from shoplifting. I wonder what that could be? 🤔🤔🤔
