  1. Why have a statue that commemorates soldiers who fought to keep black folks in chains? Sorry, kids, but slavery WAS the cause of the War Between the States. Don't believe me? Read EVERY SINGLE DECLARATION OF SECESSION from the Confederate states. EVERY SINGLE ONE listed the preservation of slavery as the cause for their treasonous rebellion against the Union. Every. Single. One.
