  1. He's a psychopath and that's why he has no remorse. He enjoyed killing people and if he's ever set free, he'll do it again. Good news is he won't be safe in prison. He thinks he's the biggest, baddest monster on the block. There are far worse than him and in prison, big monsters eat little monsters.

  3. The judge does. Everyone in our system gets the presumption of innocence and every single criminal defendant has rights that must be respected. It's sometimes a hard thing to accept when someone is as vile as Brooks, but trust me, you don't want the alternative.

  5. I have a law degree and know many lawyers and judges. One of my uncles is a federal judge. You have to keep control of your courtroom and remain impartial or else our entire justice system doesn't work. That doesn't mean judges don't have opinions or feelings, but they exalt the rule of law above all else. That's why this judge is making sure even this scumbag gets a fair hearing.
