  1. 1. NATO should've been dissolved after the fall of the Soviet Union. Its continued existence has caused these tensions within Europe and between Russia and the West. 2. The US foreign policy establishment should've purged the Iraq/Afghanistan neocons who lied to the American people to get us into those wars. At the very least, they should have been ostracized for life, but there's a strong case to prosecute them for war crimes. Obama refused to do it because charges would've had to be brought against Bush and Cheney. 3. Germany allowed Russia to gain leverage over it with the Nordstream gas pipelines because it has no other choice: the other options just aren't economically viable. We had a golden opportunity to work with Russia when Clinton was president, and he deliberately trashed it for the benefit of the military industrial complex.
