  1. All the cops had to do was reason with the man. Or at least try. They didn't try. They laid their hands on him and starting beating him and dragging him. We are not becoming a fascist state, we are one.

  2. I was in a similar situation and did intervene. Once one person stands up, others will follow. I was so scared to stand up to violent cops that my legs were trembling but I did it. And when I did, others did, too. Nonviolent resistance is the only way we can win.

  3. We have to summon up our courage and just say NO to fascism. Yes, you risk injury, death, arrest. But this is your FREEDOM. Thousands have given their lives rather than live under tyranny. If we stand by and do nothing, then our country is lost. Some things are worth fighting for, even worth dying for. To quote Dr. King: "A man who hasn't found something worth dying for, isn't fit to live." Dr. King would've stood up and blocked the aisle (and he was not physically a big man), let the thugs do what they may.
