This is happening everywhere among all demographics. I used to teach at Beverly Hills High. Many of the local businesses around the high school (not the mall) have banned teens from coming into their restaurants and stores without an adult present because of destructive/disruptive behavior. These are kids who are from wealthy, two-parent households. None are black nor Hispanic. When I was there, our principal tried to stop the misbehavior but his authority was very limited outside of school grounds. Parents today simply are afraid to say "no" to their kids. It's an epidemic and it's a big reason why I retired early from teaching, and why there's a growing shortage of teachers. Most of my students were polite and respectful, but the ones who are out of control know there's nothing any adult can or will do to curb their antisocial behavior. Either we end this, or it ends us.
